Humanitarian Security Innovation

For its FY 2012 program, USAID/OFDA is soliciting proposals through this Annual Program Statement that will seek to enhance the humanitarian community’s, specifically NGO’s, ability toadminister assistance programs safely and securely in various contexts around the world.

active in supporting the operational security of its implementing partners and has undertaken several groundbreaking initiatives to build capacity (e.g.

development of a security training module; supporting NGO interagency security coordinator positions in the US and Europe; research examining the acceptance approach to operational security, etc.).

This APS is specifically designed to seek out, new, innovative and cutting-edge approaches to addresssecurity challenges identified within the humanitarian community.
