Fiscal Year 2018 Air Force Young Investigator Research Program (YIP)

The Fiscal Year 2018 Air Force Young Investigator Research Program ( YIP) intends support for scientists and engineers demonstrating exceptional ability and promise for conducting basic research who have:
1. Received a Ph.D.

or equivalent degree on 1 April 2012 or later; or, 2. Received

credit: Wikipedia


a Ph.D.

or equivalent degree between 1 April 2010 and 1 April 2012 and:
a.

have served as a Tenure-track faculty member for no more than two years prior to 1 April 2017; or, b.

held two consecutive post-doc positions; or, c.

held one post-doc and research associate position.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Individual awards are made to U. S. institutions of higher education, industrial laboratories, for-profit businesses, or non-profit research organizations where the principal investigator is a U. S. citizen, national, or permanent resident by 01 October 2017; employed on a full-time basis and holds a permanent position.

All PIs and co-PIs must meet all general eligibility requirements and one of the following criteria: (1) Received a Ph.D.

or equivalent degree on 1 April 2012 or later; or, (2) Received a Ph.D.

or equivalent degree between 1 April 2010 and 1 April 2012 and: (a) have served as a Tenure-track faculty member for no more than two years prior to 1 April 2017; or, (b) held two consecutive post-doc positions; or, (c) held one post-doc and research associate position
