§ 13 The Snyder Act authorizes the Secretary to “direct, supervise, and expend [funds]” on several activities, including “industrial assistance and advancement and general administration of Indian property.” The purpose of this grant is provide cost share funding and support for AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) volunteers to perform community development and conservation projects.

The grant is ineligible for transfer to the tribe pursuant to Indian Self Determination Act because the funds are time-limited and limited to this specific project.

The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number for this grant is “1 0. 200- Grants for Agricultural ResearchEnvironmental Management Indian Program.”
