Black-tailed Prairie Dog Population and Habitat Monitoring and Black-footed Ferret Spotlight Surveys at a Reintroduction Site in Northwest Kansas

Tasks to be performed:
work on a Black-footed Ferret recovery site in northwest Kansas.

Project logistics include:
annually estimate black-tailed prairie dog population numbers, densities, and colony areas using accepted and previously used methods.

Annually participate in Black-footed

Ferret surveys, assessments and report writing.

This funding is specific to protocols that have been previously established for the Black-tailed prairie dog and Black-footed ferret work.
