Cheasepeake Bay Conservancy; Cooperative Landscape Conservation

This is an announcement for issuing a single source financial assistance award to the Chesapeake Conservancy of Annapolis, Maryland.

This announcement is for notification purposes only.

The intent of the award is to support work on Natureâ¿¿s Network, a collaborative


endeavor of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, state fish and wildlife agencies, and other partners.

The project will involve delivering Natureâ¿¿s Network products to end users through a sustained web-presence and active technical outreach.

In particular, the Chesapeake Conservancy will support these goals through ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and outreach related to the official website (www.naturesnetwork.org) and Prioritization Tool.

Specific tasks will include providing quarterly updates to content, data links, and design of www.naturesnetwork.org as necessary to support current and future versions of Natureâ¿¿s Network; repairing and debugging www.naturesnetwork.org as necessary to ensure proper functioning of the website; and updating, revising, repairing, and de-bugging the Prioritization Tool as necessary.

Tasks will also include providing training on use of the Prioritization Tool and other Natureâ¿¿s Network products in coordination with U. S. FWS, as well as otherwise providing technical assistance to partners on use of the Prioritization Tool.

This project is authorized by The National Wildlife Refuge System Improvement Act of 1997 (P.L.

105-57); Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C.

1531-1544, 87 Stat.

884); Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act (16 U.S.C.

2901-2911; 94 Stat.

1322); and The Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956 (16 U.S.C.

742a-742j, not including 742 d-1; Stat.

1119), as amended.
