Fiscal Year (FY) 2011Technical Innovation and Standardization Project Grants

The Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) plans to award FY 2011 grant funds to WIC State agencies to support Technical Innovation and Standardization projects.

For projects receiving FY 2011 funding, the Technical Innovation and Standardization Cooperative Agreement end dates will be determined based

on individual proposals and approved timelines.

THIS SOLICITATION IS CONTINGENT UPON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.

IF FUNDS ARE NOT RECEIVED, THEN THE SOLICITATION WILL BE WITHDRAWN.

This Request for Application (RFA) is open to all WIC State agencies.

The award of funds under this RFA does not guarantee funding under future grant solicitations.

Given the complexities of these projects, a cooperative agreement between FNS and the grantee would be considered a collaborative effort and involve back and forth communication and technical assistance throughout the entire cooperative agreement period.

FNS plans to fund 100 percent of all project costs if the costs are determined to be allowable, reasonable, and within scope.

FNS reserves the right to award funds under this announcement in the subsequent fiscal year without further application submission.

Therefore, applications submitted under this request may also be used to fund Technical Innovation and Standardization projects in FY 201 2.

Melbourne social enterprise Who Gives A Crap sold nearly 3 million rolls of toilet paper in 2014/15 and gave half the proceeds to WaterAid Australia, but co-founder Simon Griffiths says the donation would have been less had the startup adopted a non-profit model when it launched two years ago.
