Lamar County Acquires $300,000 State Grant for Optimist Park Improvements

Lamar County acquires a $300,000 state grant to help finance improvements at Optimist Park in Oak Grove.

The county will match it with a $100,000 from its own funds. According to Lamar County Supervisor Phillip Carlisle, the improvements will further the quality of life among county residents. Completion of the project is expected by fall 2014.
