Mendota Bioenergy Beet Secures $5 million Grant
Agency - California Energy CommissionA $5 million grant is released for the Mendota Advanced Bioenergy Beet Cooperative to kick off a pilot project in Five Points with a capacity of converting tons of beets into gallons of ethanol.
This initiative will benefit farmers who are seeking new ways for sugar beet production. Construction is intended by the middle of summer, and its operation will launch by the end of the year.
