The Department of Housing and Urban Development's mission is to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination. HUD fulfills this mission through high ethical standards, management and accountability, and by forming partnerships with community organizations.
Fiscal Year 2009: Not applicable. Fiscal Year 2010: In fiscal year 2010, TI TA funds plans to provide technical assistance to improve its operations, Items the Department seeks to address include; TA on alternative financing assistance, energy efficiency and Green Building across all Affordable Housing programs, Financial Management and Governance Across Affordable Housing Programs, Assessments and TA for Troubled PHAs, ONAP Technical Assistance, and Physical Needs Assessment Implementation. Fiscal Year 2011: Fiscal Year 2011 TI TA will continue to build on actions started in FY 2010 and address any new areas where efficiency can be improved.
Uses and Use Restrictions
Transformation Initiative Technical Assistance was designed to create sufficient funding for HUD to transform and modernize its operations.
TI TA funds will be used to improve operations including; improving operational efficiency of projects, disaster outreach projects, training and development initiatives, and green initiatives.

Beneficiary Eligibility
Public and Indian Housing Transformation Initiatives Technical Assistance ultimate beneficiaries are those who receive assistance. These initiatives will improve the way the Department operates.
