FY 07 55 grants to P&As and 2 grants for T&TA set-aside for a total of 57. Funding of 57 grants will continue in FY 08 and we anticipate 57 grant awards in FY 09.

States and Territories who have a Protection and Advocacy System in place in accordance with the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000.

Individuals with full-range of disabilities.

Assistance Considerations
Formula and Matching Requirements
The statistical factor used for fund distribution is the resident population in each State. No State or Territory will receive less than $70,000 and $35,000 respectively. There is no matching requirement. T/TA awards for P&As a 7% set-aside of total funding amount.
Length and Time Phasing of Assistance
Grants are awarded annually.
Post Assistance Requirements
Reports
Annual program and annual financial status reports are required.
Audits
Audits are conducted in accordance with the requirements of 45 CFR Parts 74 and 92.

Records must be retained for at least 3 years; records shall be retained beyond the 3-year period if all findings have not been resolved.
