The Department of Homeland Security has three primary missions: Prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism and minimize the damage from potential attacks and natural disasters.
In the preceding fiscal year there were 3,718,547 individuals completing independent study courses. Approximately 4,000,000 independent study course completions are anticipated by the end of the current fiscal year.
