Clean Fuels Grant & Discretionary Bus and Bus Facilities Programs

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the availability of discretionary funds in Fiscal Year (FY) 2009 and 2010 Clean Fuels Grant program funds, augmented with FY 2010 Section 5309 Bus and Bus Facilities program funds.

These discretionary program funds will be distributed in accordance


with the mission of each program and in support of the U. S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) environmental sustainability efforts.Complete proposals for Clean Fuels/Bus and Bus Facilities discretionary grants must be submitted by June 14, 201 0. All proposals must be submitted electronically through the GRANTS.GOV APPLY function.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible applicants under the FY 2010 Clean Fuels Grant program are: a.

Designated recipients in maintenance or non-attainment areas for ozone or CO, which are entities designated to receive Federal urbanized formula funds under 49 U.S.C.

5307.

b.

FTA will also accept applications from direct recipients, tribes for rural areas, and State Departments of Transportation in attainment areas.

Note: Projects selected in attainment areas will be funded using Bus and Bus Facilities program funds.
