VA is announcing the availability of per diem funds to eligible entities to provide transitional housing beds under VA’s Homeless Providers

GPD Program models.

VA expects to fund 1,500 beds with this NOFA for applicants who will use one or a combination of the following housing models:
Bridge Housing, Low Demand, Hospital-to-Housing, Clinical Treatment, and Service-Intensive Transitional Housing and Service Centers.

DATES:
An original signed and dated application for assistance (plus two completed collated copies) for VA’s Homeless Providers GPD Program and associated documents must be received by the GPD Program Office by 4:00 p.m.

Eastern Standard Time February 28, 2018 (see application requirements below).

This NOFA announces the availability of per diem funding to 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(19) non-profit organizations, State and Local governments, and Indian Tribal governments to provide a minimum of five transitional housing beds.

No more than 40 beds per model, per medical center, per each applicant’s Employer Identification Number (EIN) will be allowed under this NOFA.

Other Eligible Applicants include the following: Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions; Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs); Eligible Agencies of the Federal Government; Faith-based or Community-based Organizations; Hispanic-serving Institutions; Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized); Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations); Regional Organizations; Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs) ; U. S. Territory or Possession; Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.

Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U. S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.

Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.
