FY 2025 Hazardous Materials Instructor Training Grant

The HMIT Grant Program was authorized under the Hazardous Materials Transportation Safety and Security Reauthorization Act of 2005 (P.L.

109-59, codified at 49 U.S.C.

§ 5107(e)), which authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to make grants for the purpose of training instructors


and to the extent determined appropriate, for such instructors to train hazardous materials (HAZMAT) employees.

HMIT grant applications will be reviewed through a competitive process.
