ARMENIA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY

The Armenia Workforce Development Activity will work to reduce the gap between the skills of the workforce and the needs of employers.

In addition, the activity will promote efforts to address the significant labor market gaps and low levels of female and youth labor market participation.

activity will also focus on improving societal misconceptions about vocational education and employment; female labor market participation; and increase utilization of information to improve youth and female engagement in the labor market, including access to mentoring and internships.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
(i) Local entities.

This includes public, private, for-profit, and non-profit organizations, as well as institutions of higher education, and non-governmental organizations.

Further, the organization must be a legally recognized organizational entity in Armenia.(ii) Locally established partners (LEP) in Armenia.

Unlike local entities, LEPs must demonstrate viability apart from USAID funding by showing that they have received at least as much in non-U. S. Government funding as they have received from USAID in the previous five years.
