It is not a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U. S. Government or the U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to issue any Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)


or solicitation or to ultimately award a contract or assistance agreement on the basis of this RFI.

This USAID/Egypt RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes.

Responses to this RFI are strictly voluntary, and USAID will not pay respondents for the information provided in response to this RFI.

Responses to this RFI will not be returned, and respondents will not be notified of the result of the review.Currently, USAID/Egypt is evaluating the possibility of designing an energy sector reform activity aligned with GOE’s Energy Strategy target to produce 42 percent of electricity by renewables by 2035 as is outlined in the Nexus of Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) program and the related Energy Wealth Initiative.

Specifically, this program will seek to further reform the power sector to adopt more competitive market practices, create favorable conditions for private investment, decarbonize the power sector, build resilience in Egypt’s energy supply, and power equitable, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth.

S. territories, are eligible to apply, and these entities must apply as a Standalone Applicant only (i.e., they cannot apply as a project team with another entity or a subrecipient).
