Addendum for Transformative Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Water and Sanitation Initiative under DiP-WASH

The purpose of the Diversifying Partnerships in WASH (DiP-WASH) Annual Program Statement (APS) is to engage a diverse range of partners, including new, nontraditional, and local actors on innovative and evidence-based approaches that address persistent challenges in water security, inclusive of drinking


water, sanitation and hygiene, and that are not adequately addressed by other USAID investments, and that result in increasing the equitable availability and sustainable management of climate-resilient safe water and sanitation for underserved and marginalized communities and people in vulnerable situations.

The overall goal of the Transformative Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Water and Sanitation Initiative is to strengthen and expand inclusive, climate-resilient, and low-emissions water security and sanitation through collaborative approaches to position India as a global leader in the water, sanitation, and hygiene sector.

Through the Transformative Partnerships for Climate-Resilient Water and Sanitation Initiative Addendum to the Diversifying Partnerships in WASH (DiP-WASH) Annual Program Statement (APS) No.

7200AA21APS00004, the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security’s Center on Water Security, Sanitation and Hygiene (REFS/CW) and USAID/India seek to promote inclusive and resilient WASH systems for universal water and sanitation coverage.

Subject to the availability of funds, the total estimated contribution from USAID for this initiative will not exceed $6 million over a total expected project life of 3 years.

USAID/India anticipates supporting one or more awards of up to $2 million each over the life of the awards.

While USAID expects to make at least one award, it is not obligated to do so and reserves the right to not make any awards.

Therefore, publishing this Addendum does not commit USAID to make any awards.

USAID also reserves the right to not engage in a co-creation process and instead to request full application from the applicant(s) successful at concept note stage or any stage per discretion.
