Independence Day (July 4) 2020: Livestream

The Office of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs (AF/PDPA) of the U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of African Affairs announces an open competition to administer a livestream Independence Day (July 4) event.

U. S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described


in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)(3) may submit proposals for a Cooperative Agreement to organize and carry out a four-hour program featuring music and interviews.

The livestream Independence Day event is a rapid-response program that will support public engagement and outreach by approximately 49 U. S. embassies and consulates in Sub-Saharan Africa to young people ages 18-3 5. The program will commemorate Independence Day and the longstanding commitment, friendship, and support for Sub-Saharan African countries by the United States.
