economic forces to advance America’s foreign policy and employing the tools of foreign policy to shore up economic strength.

This project is intended to directly build off of previous efforts and further expand and strengthen transparency and accountability efforts in the DRC.

While credible information on the mining sector is now publicly available, there is still a gap in terms of the ability of civil society to use that information to advocate for progressive improvements, including the delivery of basic services by the government.

Additionally, there remains a serious gap in terms of transparency in the emerging hydrocarbons sector.

This phase of the project is intended to address the aforementioned challenges.

This project will work to empower local partners in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to better advocate for mining revenue disclosure and analyze information to close mining revenue gaps, U. S. Embassy Kinshasa is offering an award to further improve fiscal transparency by addressing gaps in the hydrocarbons sector and raising awareness in natural resource revenue management.
