South Sudan Cattle Program

USSESSS intends to fund one project that will begin with research and conclude with the implementation of a pilot project.

Cattle raiding has a long history in South Sudan.

In recent history these raids are becoming more violent and significantly threaten the internal security of the country.

To combat this, USSESSS seeks applications for programs to conduct research into the current practices of the cattle industry in South Sudan, as well as best practices regarding cattle regularization and monetization of cattle in other African countries.

From this research, applicants should propose and implement a cattle management pilot project to be carried out in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State in South Sudan in conjunction with support from the Minister of Interior and the State Governor.

Additional or expanded activities can be proposed, including to other states.
