HEALTH SYSTEMS STRENGTHENING, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, AND RMNCH A SCALE-UP

The United States Agency for International Development Mission India (USAID/India) seeks applications from local organizations registered in India that are eligible to receive funding directly from USAID for “Health Systems Strengthening, Quality Improvement, And RMNCH+A Scale-Up” Projects.

This APS provides prospective applicants an opportunity to submit applications to USAID/India for a range of programs and services in the following program areas:
1) Human Resources for Health; 2) Health Care Financing; 3) Engaging the Private Sector in Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child, and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A) Care; 4) Quality Data for Decision Making; 5) Scaling Up Interventions in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, and Adolescent Health; 6) Increased quality of RMNCH+A and tuberculosis services.

This APS generally targets India’s vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved populations spread across rural areas, urban slums, and tribal pockets – including those currently outside the realm of effective service provision for reasons related to economics, gender, and social inclusion (notably females across the life cycle)

USAID/India seeks applications from “local Organizations”.

Organizations registered in India, including non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, universities or institutes, para-statal organizations, or for-profit organizations.

A “local organization” must, • Be organized under the laws of the recipient country; • Have its principal place of business in the recipient country; • Be majority owned by individuals who are citizens or lawful permanent residents of the recipient country or be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are citizens or lawful permanent residents of a recipient country; and • Not be controlled by a foreign entity or by an individual or individuals who are not citizens or permanent residents of the recipient country.
