LESKY- SOLICITATION TED FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS TED DEFINITIONS FUNDING IS RESTRICTED TO FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TRIBES AND TRIBAL TED'S The Secretary of the Interior, through the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) hereby solicits grant proposals from federally-recognized tribes and their Tribal Education Departments (TED) serving Bureau-funded schools projects defined by 25 USC §202 0. These funds will assist tribes in the development and operation of TEDs for the purpose of planning and coordinating all educational programs of the tribe.

These funds will support the development of TEDs to improve educational outcomes for students and improve efficiencies and effectiveness in the operation of BIE-funded schools.

Grant awards are subject to the availability of funds as appropriated by Congress.
