Fremont Weir Adult Fish Passage Modification Project

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to California Department of Water Resources under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 1 5. 512, Public Law 102-575, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Title XXXIV, Section 3406 (b)(1) and

Estimated total amount of agreement is $6,782,32 4. 0 8. Reclamation is providing $4,800,00 0. 00 in Fiscal Year 201 7. The objectives of the project are to:
1) Provide enhanced fish passage opportunities for federally listed and State-listed salmonids and green sturgeon during and immediately following a Fremont Weir overtopping event; and 2) Reduce fish stranding in the Fremont Weir Wildlife area; and 3) Improve fish passage at agricultural road crossings in Tule Canal.

BOR-MP-17-N024 for additional information) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2. 14(B)(2)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
