Bull Trout Population Management Restoration and Monitoring Project

The Yakama Nation (The Nation) has vast experience with managing fish including fish salvage, captive rearing, reintroduction, and population study and monitoring (e.g.

Steelhead, spring Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, and Lamprey).

These efforts have been very successful in the past and through


this financial agreement The Nation will manage, implement, and monitor Bull Trout population management actions (e.g.

salvage operations, captive rearing, translocation, reintroduction, etc.).

The goal of these actions is to maintain and increase Bull Trout population numbers, enhance and coordinate with habitat restoration projects, and monitor population trends to determine results.
