Tualatin River Fisheries Enhancement Activities

The Gales Creek sub-watershed is identified as critical habitat for winter steelhead trout.

Between 2015 and 2018, several projects identified in the Gales Creek sub-watershed Restoration Action Plan were completed.

These include the Gales Creek/Clear Creek confluence project and West Fork

Beaver Creek fish passage barrier culvert replacements and large wood placements.

Ongoing Rapid Bio-Assessment monitoring of Clear Creeks is necessary to demonstrate the effectiveness of the enhancement projects for this fisheries habitat restoration plan..
