The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none).

CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $63,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.Activities implemented through this NOFO will be conducted in PEPFAR-supported countries.

The activities will support

a range of critical national data capacities for HIV, TB, and other pandemic preparedness and public health response through partnership with relevant regional and/or national organizations by strengthening regional, national, and subnational institutions to independently develop, implement, support, and sustain health data systems and related activities.

This NOFO will strive to keep in balance that countries need immediate implementation support for specific data activities with the imperative for greater expertise, capability, ownership, and sustainability (financial, operational, technical, programmatic, political) in national and regional institutions. The focus of this NOFO is to improve capacity, timeliness, and quality of the public health response to HIV, TB, and other health threats.

This will be achieved through country-led or -owned activities related to survey and surveillance systems, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), advanced data management and analysis including machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as economic and cost analysis.

Activities range from skill building and system strengthening to data collection, processing, and analysis, to dissemination and use of data for public health impact.
