CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $3,200,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds.This NOFO aims to enhance Central Asia's capacity to provide high-quality HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, laboratory, and
strategic information (SI) programs.
The goal is to achieve epidemic control by 2030, following international standards (e.g., UNAIDS, International Health Regulations), and adapted to the local context.
Based on PEPFAR's 5x3 Strategic Framework (September 2022), the focus is on leveraging investments to build resilient health systems that can effectively respond to public health threats.
Key areas of focus include:Establishing access to evidence-based HIV prevention services such as case-finding, client-centric referral, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and Medication-Assisted Therapy (MAT) services;Improving client-centric HIV treatment continuity to achieve 95-95-95 and address related co-morbidities through enhanced patient management, monitoring, laboratory capacity, care, treatment, and patient satisfaction;Strengthening capacity for collecting, managing, and utilizing SI to inform program implementation and impact assessment;Enhancing the health system’s ability to strengthen public health security, preparedness, and response;Ensuring sustained, resilient public health programs at individual, facility, and organizational levels to achieve HIV/AIDS epidemic control; andCoordinating with key community and relevant stakeholders for evidence-based policy development, sustained program design, financing, and implementation.
