in Ukraine has been proven since 2012 when PEPFAR started support for the development and implementation of an HIV management information system (MIS HIV).

MIS HIV embraced electronic medical records on HIV, TB, and medication assisted treatment (MAT) clients and was renamed to information system “Monitoring socially significant diseases” (IS MSSD).

IS MSSD is the most advanced information system (IS) operating in the Ukrainian Public Health sector.

It allows data analysis for decision-making and generates national and international reporting, including PEPFAR reporting. This NOFO will aim to use the unique expertise of communities in PHIS improvement.

The leading potential of communities will be used for strengthening and improvement of the entire PHIS in terms of planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data standardization, and interoperability.

Simultaneously communities will be improving results of their own HIV prevention, care, and treatment using innovative mobile applications, electronic instruments, and tools (MA EIT), and an HIV hotline.
