Adaptive Management and Research of Natural Resources on Midwest Air Force Installations

The primary objective of the Air Force installation natural resources programs is to sustain, restore and modernize natural infrastructure to ensure operational capability and no net loss in the capability of Air Force lands to support the military mission of the installation.

This includes management

and improvement of ecosystems to sustain all species and prevent mission degradation.

The primary service area we are requesting assistance includes the following Air Force installations:
Fairchild AFB, WA; Mountain Home AFB, ID; Malmstrom AFB, MT; Hill AFB, UT; Utah Training and Testing Range, UT; F.E.

Warren AFB, WY; Sundance AFS, WY; Buckley SFB, CO; Cheyenne Mountain AFS, CO; Peterson SFB, CO; Schriever SFB, CO; US Air Force Academy, CO; Minot AFB, ND; Grand Forks AFB, ND; Cavalier SFS, ND; Ellsworth AFB, SD; Badlands Bombing Range, SD; Offutt AFB, NE; McConnell AFB, KS; Whiteman AFB, MO; Scott AFB, IL; and Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

Management of natural resources on Air Force installations is guided and directed through the collaborative preparation of each installation’s INRMP.

The INRMP describes projects required to sustain military readiness and compliance with fish, wildlife, and other natural resources regulations.

The collaborating partners who develop INRMP are Air Force Natural resources managers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and each State’s Game and Fish agency.
