The Department of Energy (DOE) and the U. S. nuclear industry have mission-critical workforce needs in this field.

The Department has a responsibility to create and enhance the training opportunities for the next generation of radiochemists.

To meet these needs DOE purposes this funding opportunity for the implementation of a radiochemistry summer school program that will provide undergraduate students an opportunity to receive additional training in this field.
