DRL Applied Research and Evaluation Innovation Fund: MEL360 Accompaniment in Democratizing DRG Evaluation

The U. S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) announces an open competition for organizations interested in submitting applications for an applied learning project.

The project’s overarching goal is for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) approaches


for democracy, human rights, and governance (DRG) programming that incorporate feedback and expertise from the communities and individuals impacted by DRG programming.

DRL’s goal is to build a portfolio of evidence to further identify democracy, human rights, and labor rights program strategies that are effective.

The DRL Evaluation Innovation Fund is an initiative that integrating evidence into program design, implementation, and evaluation in foreign assistance.

DRL welcomes applications from U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations/nongovernmental organizations (NGO) and public international organizations; private, public, or state institutions of higher education; and for-profit organizations or businesses.

DRL’s preference is to work with non-profit entities; however, there may be some occasions when a for-profit entity is best suited.
