FY 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Transit Security Grant Program ? Operational Packages

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Transit Security Grant Program (TSGP) is authorized the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (P.L.

111-5) and the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007 (P.L.

110-53) (the 9/11 Act).

ARRA TSGP will

credit:


focus on the use of visible, unpredictable deterrence through the funding of Operational Packages for canine teams, mobile explosives detection screening teams, and Anti-Terrorism teams both due to their effectiveness in reducing risk to transit systems and their potential for job creation.

In addition, funding will be provided for capital projects including Multi-User High-Density Key Infrastructure Protection, Single-User High-Density Key Infrastructure Protection, Key Operating Asset Protection, and Other Mitigation Activities.



FEMA asks applicants to submit their application package through Grants.gov.

However, if issues arise with Grants.gov, FEMA will also allow applicants to submit their application package directly through OJP?s Grant Management System (GMS).
