WWI Centenary Exchange: U.S. Veteran Affairs

In commemoration of the centenary of the United States joining World War I (WWI), the Embassy of the United States to the United Kingdom invites eligible organizations to submit proposals to develop and implement an exchange program to the United States for up to 10 British program participants.

This

exchange will provide UK veterans, armed forces charities and policy-makers with an opportunity to examine the role of U. S. federal, state, and local governments, as well as non-profit organizations in assisting veterans and their families.

Exchange participants will explore Veterans’ Affairs issues such as recuperation, employment, charitable and state support, political involvement of veterans, leadership development programs and also compare U. S. veterans’ experiences with those in the UK.

Subject to availability of funds, the Embassy expects to select one program implementer for a grant award from $50,000 up to $75,00 0.
