Purpose of Program:
This program provides fellowships in areas of national need to assist graduate students with excellent academic records who demonstrate financial need and plan to pursue the highest degree available in their course of study at the institution.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible Applicants: Academic departments of institutions of higher education that meet the requirements in 34 CFR 648.2.

Cost Sharing or Matching: An institution must provide, from non- Federal funds, an institutional matching contribution equal to at least 25 percent of the grant amount received (see 34 CFR 648.7).

Other: For requirements relating to selecting fellows, see 34 CFR 648.40.
