IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPLIANCE/PREVENTION UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK PROGRAM

This notice announces the availability of funds and solicits proposals from public authorities (state, interstate, intrastate, agencies designated by States or Territorial Governors to receive UST notifications, federally-recognized Tribes and Intertribal Consortia, and local), public agencies and institutions;

private non-profit organizations and agencies that meet the eligibility requirements of Section 8001(a) and (b) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act.

This information exchange will foster resolution of UST compliance and implementation issues, post-cleanup petroleum brownfield issues and identify emerging issues that are at both state and federal levels.

Please note that funding under this announcement is not available for research, training or technical assistance for pre-cleanup and cleanup activities at petroleum brownfields sites that EPA funds under section 104(k)(6) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act.
