FY 2013 MCSAP High Priority Notice of Funding Availability

The FMCSA announces the availability of High Priority grant funding.

Eligible awardees for High Priority funding are State agencies, local governments, and organizations representing

credit:


government agencies that use and train qualified officers and employees in coordination with State motor vehicle safety agencies.

The FMCSA may award grants to support, enrich, or evaluate State commercial motor vehicle (CMV) safety programs that:
? Implement, promote, and maintain national programs to improve CMV safety; ? Increase compliance with CMV safety regulations; ? Increase public awareness about CMV safety; ? Provide education on CMV safety and related issues; and ? Demonstrate new safety related technologies.

Priority is given to applications that demonstrate a direct connection between proposed activities and improvements in any or all of these areas.

Funding is available for projects that are national in scope; these applications are typically submitted by non-governmental organizations.
