Department of Labor (USDOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $3 million total costs (subject to the availability of federal funds) for one cooperative agreement(s) to fund a technical assistance project(s) in the Republic

of Kenya to improve compliance with international labor standards and acceptable conditions of work (ACW).
The project will aim to achieve the following three outcomes in two key export sectors:(1) Increased government effectiveness in improving compliance with international labor standards and ACW—including through, but not limited to, improved compliance with Kenyan laws related to and consistent with those standards and conditions, and technical assistance as requested with reforming laws that are inconsistent with those standards and conditions.(2) Increased employers’ actions to improve compliance with international labor standards, ACW, and Kenyan laws related to and consistent with those standards and conditions.(3) Increased engagement of civil society organizations, including workers’ organizations, with government and employers to improve compliance with international labor standards, ACW, and Kenyan laws related to and consistent with those standards and conditions.The duration of the project will be a maximum of 4. 5 years (54 months) from the effective date of the award.
