The purpose of this program is to assist Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU) to build, expand, renovate, and equip their own facilities, and to expand the role of the TCUs into the community through the provision of needed services such as health programs, job training, and economic development activities.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligible Applicants: Tribal Colleges and Universities that meet the definition of a TCU established in Title III of the 1998 Amendments to the Higher Education Act of 1965 (Pub.L.105-244, approved October 7, 1998).

Applicants must be a two- or four-year, fully accredited institution or provide a statement in the abstract of the application that states the institution is a candidate for accreditation by a regional institutional accrediting association recognized by the U. S. Department of Education.

Institutions that received grants in FY 2009 are not eligible under this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA).
