The US Geological Survey is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner with expertise in prediction and assessment of post-wildfire impacts (e.g., changes in water quality and quantity, sedimentation, and debris flows) and recovery (e.g., the attenuation of hazards as vegetation and land cover
attain pre-wildfire states).
This research will advance our understanding of and predictive capabilities related to hydrologic burn severity and post-fire recovery, and provide critical information for land and resource managers and emergency responders tasked with preparing for and responding to wildfire crises.
