U. S. Geological Survey’s (USGS) Powell Center is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU Partner for research on “Defining subsidy–stress gradients for metals and relevance for US surface waters.” The research project will gather data to conduct a synthesis of metal bioavailability

in rivers and streams to explore spatiotemporal, taxonomic, and intra-metal variability in subsidy–stress gradients.

Data will serve to develop a unified model for surface waters describing the biological role of metals from subsidy to stress.
