This funding opportunity is being modified to update the closing date that appears in the Synopsis on Grants.gov.
The Administration for Children and Families, Office of Child Care (OCC) solicits applications for the American Indian and Native Hawaiian Non-Profit Organization Child Care Grant.
The
purpose of this grant is to provide child care services to American Indian and/or Native Hawaiian youth who currently are not receiving child care services funded by other Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) formula grantees.
Additionally, OCC will award a grant for child care services to a Native Hawaiian non-profit organization under a separate notice of funding opportunity (NOFO).
This grant will support child care services to eligible children, which must be under the age of 13 and reside with a family whose income does not exceed 85 percent of the State Median Income (or Tribal Median Income) for a family of the same size and whose parent(s) are working or attending a job training or educational program or who receive or need to receive protective services.
Note:
If an American Indian organization is already receiving funding under a CCDF grant directly with OCC, it is not eligible to receive funding for the same service area under this NOFO.
In addition, an eligible applicant may apply for funding under both NOFOs, but will only receive an award under one.
