credit:

Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5).

The PDG B-5 Renewal Grant will fund states to build upon their initial grant activities, while considering the changing needs of children and families created by the COVID 19 Pandemic, and investing in strategies that will address those needs, supporting and strengthening the early childhood care and education (ECCE) workforce, enhancing quality, and expanding access to early childhood services for children, particularly those in high need communities.

Recipients of PDG B-5 Renewal Grant funding are encouraged to use a certain portion of grant funds to award subgrants to ECE programs, to expand access to and enhance the quality of existing services or develop new programs that address the needs of low-income and disadvantaged young children and families in the mixed delivery system across the state.
