The Fixing Americas Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) (P.L.

114-94 - December 4, 2015), authorizes and provides funding for PHMSA Community Safety Grant Program.

This new competitive grant opportunity is requesting applications from nonprofit organizations for conducting national outreach

and training programs to assist communities in preparing for and responding to accidents and incidents involving the transportation of hazardous materials, including Class 3 flammable liquids by rail; and training state and local personnel responsible for enforcing the safe transportation of hazardous materials, including Class 3 flammable liquids.
