Driven and Nonequilibrium Quantum Systems (DRINQS)
The Defense Sciences Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is soliciting innovative research proposals in the area of driven and nonequilibrium quantum systems.
The DRINQS program aims to demonstrate that the gains in coherence times that can be achieved in such systems can be exploited to improve the capabilities of quantum sensors and devices of importance to national security.
Proposed research should investigate innovative approaches that enable revolutionary advances in science, devices, or systems.
Specifically excluded is research that primarily results in evolutionary improvements to the existing state of practice.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Non-governmental or non-profit organizations registered in Kazakhstan are eligible for this program.
Applications from organizations registered outside of Kazakhstan, commercial organizations, political groups carrying out partisan activities, and charity organizations will not be considered.
Only one concept paper may be submitted on behalf of an eligible organization.
Organizations funded through the U. S. Embassy Small Grants Program during 2016 and 2017 are not eligible during 2018 cycle.
