Public Health Training Center

The purpose of the Public Health Training Centers Program is to improve the Nation;s public health system by strengthening the technical, scientific, managerial, and leadership competence of the current and future public health workforce.

A public health training center plans, develops, operates,

credit:


and evaluates projects that are in furtherance of the goals established by the Secretary in the areas of preventive medicine, health promotion and disease prevention, or improving access to and quality of health services in medically underserved communities.

An eligible applicants for this program is a Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited school of public health or another public or nonprofit private instution accredited for the provision of graduate or specialized training in public health.
