Rural Veterans Health Access Program

The Rural Veterans Health Access Program (RVHAP) provides funding to states to work with providers and other key partners to support health care for veterans living in rural areas.

This support includes expanding access to needed health care services and improving coordination of care.

key component of RVHAP is to facilitate coordination by the Secretary of Health and Human Services in consultation with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) coordinates with the VA Office of Rural Health.
