Afghanistan Jessup Moot Court Competition

This project will complement ongoing INL programs which work with Afghan public and private universities, US law schools, and legal professionals to promote access to education opportunities for aspiring Afghan justice professionals, both within and outside of Afghanistan, and emphasize practical skills

and critical thinking ability through the use of interactive teaching methods.

Specifically, the project will provide rigorous training to all Jessup coaches; organizes teams of Afghan law students from both the Law and Sharia Faculties; implement the Jessup training, coaching, and mentoring in at least twelve (12) Afghan universities; coordinate a national Jessup competition in compliance with official rules and regulations; and provide continued coaching and logistical support for a team from Afghanistan to represent the country in Jessup’s international rounds held in Washington, D.C.
