The goal of the International Justice-sector Education and Training Program (IJET) is to provide an opportunity for foreign judges, prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, and other justice sector officials to produce sustainable, long-term change within their institutions.
IJET is a multi-phased
approach for the education and training of specially selected justice sector personnel in a program that centers on potential thematic areas including:
(1) Continuing legal/judicial education and training; (2) Leadership and Management; (3) Oversight; or (4) another area mutually agreed upon by INL and the implementer.
The justice sector personnel will travel to the United States where they will receive the skills and mentorship to produce sustainable a sustainable reform project plan to be implemented in their home country.
