This project funds a shoreline stabilization engineering design project to restore and enhance a critically eroding shoreline on the Indian River Lagoon within the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, a designated unit of the National Landscape Conservation System.
The engineering
design would address stabilization of 1,540 feet of shoreline on the Indian River Lagoon.
This includes coordination with BLM on the engineering design through to completion of the permitting package and coordination with BLM through the permitting process and finalization of construction drawings.
This would include project specifications, Class A construction cost estimates, and supplementary documents necessary for procurement of construction bids and permits, including those for the State of Florida and Army Corps of Engineers.
This would include biological assessments for the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Marine Fisheries Service (both protected species and Essential Fish Habitat) and the State of Florida, and an Environmental Assessment to meet all Federal regulatory requirements.
