USAG Alaska Army Compatible Use Buffer Program

MICC-FSH announces a potential partnering opportunity for the USAG Alaska Army Compatible Use Buffer (ACUB) program.

The successful applicant will, after coordinating with USAG Alaska encroachment planners and natural resource managers, negotiate the purchase of easements or fee simple property

(perpetual real property interests) from willing landowners.

The purpose of acquiring real property interests near USAG Alaska is to minimize current or anticipated impacts on military operations and/or training mission from incompatible development, incompatible infrastructure, and urban sprawl.

The entire project plan encompasses approximately 20,165 acres within six (6) ACUB Priority Areas near USAG Alaska, which includes Forts Wainwright and Greely.
